About Me
We are all of us all the time
coming together and falling
apart. The point is, we are not rocks. Who wants to be one anyways - impermeable,
unchanging, our history
already played out?
~John Rosenthal
I earned my M.Sc. in Family Relations and Human Development from the University of Guelph. I have been trained and certified in Couple and Family Therapy. I am certified in EMDR, and have extensive training in trauma and trauma recovery.
Prior to my clinical training, I taught at the University of Guelph in the Family Relations department. I have over 20 years of experience faciliating groups. My most important teachers have been my own relationships and my personal healing journey. I am now a Regulated Health Professional, legally bound by regulations and practice standards for the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario.
I think about people in the context of their family relationships, past and present. I’ve been practicing psychotherapy since 2006, addressing a wide range of clients and concerns. I bring to my practice:
-
a keen interest in current research
-
a passion for healthy relationships and personal healing
-
clinical experience with people of many socio-economic backgrounds
-
insights borne out of many years of being a partner, a parent, and a human being on a path towards wholeness and joy
Working with me, you`ll be respectfully invited into new conversations facilitating awareness, insight, change, and healing. You`’ll be equipped with new ways to help yourself feel better and relate to others better on a daily basis.
